What: As a coach, I work with people who are facing career transition, whether by choice or not. That means I’ll be with you as a guide, supporting you to find path forward that aligns with your goals, aspirations and values.
Why: I’ve been in your shoes many times over the years. As I an independent consultant, finding the next gig is a big part of what I do. I understand the frustration, doubts, anger, lack of confidence, confusion and everything else that may be happening right now. I’m confident that if you do your homework when partnering with me, you’re going to get through all of this stuff just fine.
How: We’ll work together using a variety of techniques based on what seems useful; traditional coaching, mindfulness practice, feedback on stuff you’ve got to share, brainstorming, role plays…whatever we agree on makes the most sense.
Here’s The Process
Emotional Resilience and Confidence
- Doubts and lack of confidence are common during career and life transitions
- This is not a personal failing or weakness but a normal emotional response to the anxiety that may arise
- We’ll examine where those doubts are coming from so we can build your confidence and emotional resilience
Developing Your Personal Strategy
- A Personal Strategy is your unique view of who you are, what you want and what makes you fully present
- We’ll navigate the process together so we both understand what your drivers and values are and translate that into a strategy
- You’ll learn to effectively talk about your experience and craft compelling narratives around your skills, experience and desires
Unpacking What Brings you Joy at Work
- Joy is the passion, love or sense purpose you feel should be your lived experience at work
- Joy to you may be greater flexibility, appreciation, teamwork, new challenges, more money or however you want to define joy
- I want you to love what you do, not just tolerate it, by discovering work experiences that are aligned to your joyful ambitions
Navigating Role Shifts
- Transitioning to a new role can be a daunting exercise
- We’ll examine how your existing skills may seamlessly transfer to your desired position and any gaps are
- For both internal and external role changes, an impactful self-presentation of your best self is going to be key
Mastering the Nuts & Bolts
- It may have been awhile since you’ve been in the market
- If so, things have probably changed
- Together, we’ll pull together what you need help with e.g. resume formatting, LinkedIn content, mock interviews, targeted networking, whatever meets the need
How’s this Sounding?
- I am confident you already have what you need to successfully shape the next step in your career…we just need to tap into it
- You don’t need to work on this by yourself, that’s what I am here for
- Pushing, challenging, caring and helping you move forward on your journey
What Others Are Saying
Jeff is an excellent listener. He was always able to reflect back a solid understanding of what I was trying to convey and would add his own insights and questions which helped me to gain new perspective on a problem or issue I was working through. Working with Jeff felt like a supportive way to navigate a time of vulnerable transition and offered me ideas and practical tools to use between sessions to make progress on goals I set for myself.

Keely, Career Consulting Professional and Post-Secondary Educator
I experienced a safe, trusting and compassionate container while working with Jeff, who met me where I was. Throughout my career transition, I never felt alone, and his presence was so grounding for me at a time when I felt uncertain about myself. Jeff’s coaching approach provided a structure that supported the many moving parts I was learning while beginning my private therapy practice. We anchored into my strengths, then applied them to various exercises when working on my confidence and self-esteem. This work provided me great insight and instilled self-compassion and understanding about myself. I look forward to working with him again in the future.
