Many of the executives I work with have this fear of “being caught” or “seen naked” I think what they really mean is being seen as vulnerable. Like it’s unprofessional or some sort of liability. I don’t buy it.
Displaying vulnerability simply means your being human, just like everyone else at work. That’s it.
The future of work is rapidly moving in the direction of more open displays of vulnerability, love and compassion.
All the easy problems have been solved and only the hard ones are left. That means you need all the help you can get. Want to attract and retain new (younger) employees? Then fostering a culture that openly supports the expression of all ways of being is going to be a critical differentiator.
If you’re ready but aren’t sure how to lead with more love, compassion and vulnerability…I can help you get there.
